Your privacy is paramount. Nepali Typeshala is built as an offline-first, client-side web application designed to help users practice touch typing in Nepali and English layouts.
1. Information Collection & Storage
Nepali Typeshala does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data or keystrokes on external servers. All processing occurs locally within your web browser.
2. Local Storage Usage
The application uses your browser's localStorage solely to save:
- Your selected preferences (Language, Keyboard Range, Difficulty, Mode)
- Your personal high scores and typing statistics (Words Per Minute, Accuracy)
This data remains strictly on your device and can be cleared at any time via the Settings page ("Reset All Data") or through your browser settings.
3. Service Workers & Offline Usage
Nepali Typeshala registers a Service Worker to cache essential application assets (HTML, CSS, JS, and web fonts) so the application functions seamlessly without an internet connection. No network requests are made after initial asset caching.
4. Analytics & Third-Party Services
Nepali Typeshala uses Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) when an internet connection is active to collect anonymous, aggregated usage metrics (such as page view counts and app features used). This data is strictly non-personally identifiable and helps us evaluate application performance. No keystrokes or personal data are collected.
